Camping De Baalse Hei

Although Camping De Baalse Hei does not have a swimming pool, it does offer a large swimming lake with a lovely sandy beach, accessible only to guests of the campground. From the restaurant's sun terrace, parents can keep in touch with their children while they play and swim in the sea. You can also take a pedal boat ride or row on the lake.

On the lake you can also fish and sail. There are several playgrounds, sports fields and an entertainment program for the whole family. During the summer vacations, children's clubs, quiz nights and evening shows are organized. For the more active there are outdoor fitness facilities. At the campsite you will find a cozy restaurant and a snack bar with takeaway options. Also try a Trappist and Corsendonk beer in the bar.

Turnhout, just 4 kilometers from the campground, has a rich history. Antwerp, a larger city, is just 30 minutes there and back and is perfect for a day trip where you can enjoy Belgian waffles, locally brewed beer and chocolate as souvenirs. The area around the campground is known for its picturesque surroundings and you can explore five nature reserves nearby, including De Kempen.
