KNAUS Campingpark Dorum is located directly on the North Sea coast, between the towns of Cuxhaven and Bremerhaven, in the beautiful region of Cuxland/Wurster Land. The campsite lies directly in front of the dike, so you have a completely unobstructed view of the North Sea and the mudflats in front of it. Not only nature lovers, but also water sports enthusiasts, cyclists and sun worshippers will have a great time here.
Water recreation at the Dorum campsite
Walking on the mudflats to the mussel and seal beds, swimming in the sea, watching the fishing boats returning from the catch - whoever spends their camping holiday on the Wurster North Sea coast can hear, feel and smell the sea. Camping Dorum does not have a swimming pool, but in the village of Dorum, just a few kilometres from the campsite, you will find a saltwater swimming pool with wave pool and slides, heated indoor pool with children's pool and wellness area. Admission is free, you only pay tourist tax.
Facilities camping Dorum
At this campsite everything revolves around the sea and the beach. You can be active at the beach volleyball, for example. There is a large playground right next to the campsite, as well as table tennis tables. From the campsite you can hike to various fisherman's clubs or nice restaurants nearby. At or near the campsite you can rent bikes, play mini-golf and even bring your own boat as there is a boat ramp and mooring places for the boat.
Surroundings camping Dorum
The Lower Saxon Dike Museum in the village of Dorum shows the history of the construction of the dikes on the coast of Lower Saxony. It is the only museum in Europe that deals exclusively with dike construction and coastal protection in all its facets. A visit to the "Obereversand" lighthouse, also known as the tallest of the lighthouses on the Wadden Sea, is not to be missed. Enjoy the view over land and sea.
