Europarcs Ruinen

It's always good to hang out in the indoor pool. With a constant water temperature of 28 degrees, you can swim laps while the children enjoy themselves on the slide. There is a separate paddling pool for the youngest visitors, so they can play safely in the warm water. Just outside the campsite is the public swimming pool in Ruinen, with three different outdoor pools for different age groups. Here you can also make use of the wellness facilities or relax on the sunbathing lawn.

During the holiday months, the campsite organises an entertainment programme for the children. An indoor playground for children up to 8 years of age provides plenty of playtime fun, even when the weather is not so good. Outside, there is a children's farm and a nature playground with the overarching theme of sand and water.  Hire a bicycle or e-chopper and discover the traditional villages in the surrounding area at your own pace. On the minigolf course, you can challenge friends and family to the highest score.  

Ruinen is located next to the Dwingelderveld National Park, where you can see the shepherd with his flock walking through the heathlands. Frederiksoord has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2021 because of the "Koloniën van Weldadigheid". WILDLANDS zoo in Emmen and Slagharen amusement park are also within easy reach of the campsite.
