Camping de Meibeek

Splashing, splashing, and crowing with pleasure, but also swimming laps is possible in the heated outdoor swimming pool including the children's area at this campsite in Ruurlo. When the weather is less clement, swimming enthusiasts can head for the indoor pool, just 4 kilometres away. Bathing in natural water is also popular here, walk or cycle to the recreational lake with a beach.

During your camping holiday, make use of the canoe or bicycle rental and ask at reception, where you can also order breakfast rolls, for tips for scenic routes. Play on the sports field and/or at the ping-pong table while children go crazy in the playground including the air trampoline. The restaurant is a few minutes walk away. There is plenty of entertainment, as well as a petting zoo. Speaking of animals, there is an animal hotel for rodents, and pony and horse riding lessons are available here.

Nature is vast and invites you to spot a variety of flora and fauna, including at the national park De Hoge Veluwe (20 kilometres). Amusement park enthusiasts choose from De Waarbeek, Children's amusement park Julianatoren or Jan Klaassen Dromenland. Visit Ruurlo Castle or head towards the German border and go shopping in Vreden. Dutch city breaks come in the form of Zwolle, but also consider the beauty and history of Hanseatic cities such as Deventer and Zutphen. Burgers Zoo and Safari Park are just under an hour's drive away.
